This poet has always been a favorite, so I was hard pressed (as I was with Emily Dickinson and Edgar Allan Poe) to choose my top three favorite poems. National poetry month is definitely allowing me to revisit verse that I have loved for a lifetime.

Sick got me. Sorry. here’s the prompt.

This one speaks so much to me. Ms. Angelou was a very gifted poet, so I had a hard time limiting my favorite ones to a manageable three. However I did. Tomorrow I will post one more by her, then I will post another favorite poet.

The first one of this poet I had to share is one that has been making it around more lately.

Today the prompt was Jealous. To see it go here.

My last poem from Poe..

Today the prompt was “After (Blank)” I chose after all for my #aprpd contribution.
If you want to see the original prompt… Go here.

Many forget that Poe wrote other poems….
