Soul’s Door

Another volume of my poetry has flown to Amazon…. Buy it here. And stay tuned. I will post a couple of the poems from my newest volume in progress over the weekend. There’s also a lot of exciting stuff that I am doing right now that I will be announcing soon. I may even be sharing a short story by Serena next week.

Upcoming, Dreams or Nightmares?

I am wanting so badly to whisper of something, but all of the details have not been verified. I am still going to whisper some, you just have to stay tuned for details as I get them.

There is an amazing anthology being put together. Remember the online radio show that I was on? Zombiepalooza Radio…. Well they are part of producing a new anthology.

I know that they have signed up some really great authors for the project…. But I am afraid that for now that is all that I can spill….

Keep coming back for the rest of the details. I promise that as soon as I have any, I will be dropping whispers right here!

Pre-orders and artsy things

So Serena’s novel is available in the kindle store for pre-order. Release date is May 1st.

Between edits I have been doing art to rest my mind.

Cover design and resin pieces. The newest poetry volume is the cover above. Next week I will be posting details about Soul’s Door. It will be published soon, as writing is done so I still have edits and layout.

I have also been writing. Poetry, and short stories. This has been a busy year. After my birthday next week, I intend to be more active here. Twice monthly is the plan. So stay tuned, there is going to be so much more coming. I may even get a couple of guest bloggers this year to help boost my content.

That time of the year

This is the hard time for me to keep up with my blog. So I apologize. Between sick, which seems to be a yearly thing, and birthdays… February and March are busy months for me. I am also working out the details for publishing another poetry volume (Soul Door), a novel as Serena (Rust, Gore, And the Junkyard Zombie) and I have a poem that I submitted to a new E-zine (Creatives Rising)

that is releasing soon. I am also still writing more poetry and the next novel. I will be updating this blog as I can, and I promise that I will post a couple more poems here by the end of the week. Still, Please have patience with my erratic updates.

“Honey, Let the Real Gamers Play”

‘Shh. Breathe.’

I exhaled a breath of stale air into the crowded lobby of the local hotel. My partner sensed my hesitation beside me and squeezed my hand encouragingly. With a small tug, he urged me onwards. “Let’s go, I don’t want to be around these neckbeards any longer than I have to,” he teased. I know, not a very kind way to refer to a wonderful community of tabletop gamers, especially when his partner is one of them, but I knew he was just trying to ease my nerves.

Walking into the entrance, I was immediately greeted by an older woman at the entrance booth. My partner paid our entrance fees, we got small, golden tokens that we could use to preregister for one game each.

Ignoring the hair standing on the back of my neck, the fear creeping up my arms, the imaginary breath and whispers of a…

Starting a new story

I have been in a limbo since finishing the writing on Rust, Gore and the Junkyard Zombie. Writing poetry…. But story wise. I have a lot of options and I narrowed it down to three that I was willing to write.

Rust, Gore and the Junkyard Zombie goes to my editor (xterraweb.com) the week of the 26th of January. When I get it back I will be focusing on it more. My editor is amazing, so I rarely have to do anything else to my work when I send it to her.

So I mulled over the options available for stories. I decided to go ahead with one that I have tentatively titled Sanguinary Theory. Here’s the beginning idea…. I will polish and give you a better synopsis soon. This is the rough start.

~What causes a serial killer to stop killing? Usually death or capture. No one caught Jack the Ripper. So most assume him dead. The truth is something far more bizarre, and so very interesting.

Jack seeks immortality. He has discovered a medicine and blood rituals that have prolonged his life. And has been searching the centuries for the answer to true immortality. ~

Well? Sound interesting? Drop me your thoughts in the comments and help me decide whether or not this story is the right choice.

Prompts and some honest results

so Insomnia is kicking my butt. I decided to do a month of prompts in December… And the group did another for this month. Well I was feeling extra creative and decided to put the ones that I have done for January to lovely picture files. Please enjoy as I try to pretend that I am sleeping… Again.
