Talking Tuesday

Talking Tuesday

I have noticed that even though I still love music, sometimes I don’t want to do Tuesday Tunes. it’s become slightly tedious. so I am going to be switching off to Talking Tuesday and we will return to the tunes off and on.

This is literally one week from my eldest son’s birthday. He turns thirty seven next Tuesday. Y’all I am feeling old. I would not trade a minute I have had with him. Yet, somedays I feel like I blinked and missed years along the way. I wish I could say I was a good mom. Hell, I wish I could say I was a mediocre mother. I can say that I tried. I can say I love him with all my heart. Just as I can say for all three of my boys. But I made mistakes. Many because I was trying to heal my own wounds. and many more because I did not understand what being a mother meant. Either way…Happy Birthday Nick. Momma Loves you.

I wander Pinterest for ideas, prompts, and the like. That means I find all sort of fun things there. And it satisfies the ADHD side of my brain. Where do you go for inspiration? I have also used tumblr and google to find fun ideas.

Wild Wednesday

I have noticed that the last few weeks weeks I have been doing a lot of talking about writing on my Wednesday posts.

I considered changing the post to Write Wednesday. Then I realized it is one of my favorite hyperfixations.

For the unaware – hyperfixations is a neurodivergent thing. It is a term for an interest that takes all of your attention. This can be a food, a song, an activity…etc. If you are not careful it can be a bad thing.

Imagine craving a sandwich and fixating on the idea. You find that nothing else has any flavor for you. You suddenly have no interest in eating anything else.

If you are lucky you can get the current hyperfixation and work with your brain and the quirks of the neurodivergency that is your particular flavor.
