So, I received a message from Coffee House. Their policy is changing and I don’t want them to have my poetry on their site anymore. They are still a good place for the upcoming writer, but I don’t want my own poetry there anymore. This is an entirely personal decision.
Your work, your choice. I’m not familiar with that site.

They are a blog site that publishes writing on a regularity. Their policy was open to allow me to publish it elsewhere as long as I listed it as having been published first on their website. They are now expecting it to be only on their website. I do not want that. So I am pulling my work.

Given my habits of reblogging and sharing, I would find that uncomfortable too.

it really comes down to publishing rights. They are trying to take away any for the content on their site. I am not comfortable with that. Especially since I have since published the poetry in various volumes. I stopped working with them a while ago as I was overwhelming myself but I was fine with leaving my work as it didn’t harm me to do such. when the policy changed… that changed my mind. I don’t have to leave my work. I am not in need of anything from them.
