Serena Mossgraves’s Poetry

Since today is the release day for her Blood Red Rain… I thought I would share 2 of Serena’s poems. One from the new release (at the bottom) and another one from the one in progress.

    1. It always seems weird to me that the world expects the victim to bear the weight of forgiveness. Why when they have done nothing to be the one that should have to carry around any more weight?

      1. I tend to view forgiveness as releasing the bitterness and other similarly related words and being able to move on and try to heal. It doesn’t mean what society often thinks it means (that everything’s okay, everyone’s off the hook, etc.) It’s more of a self-care thing. There are other elements to it depending on individual faiths. But yeah–I think our society definitely seems to view it in a topsy-turvy way that invalidates the victim.
