I am a strange duck. I honestly hate sharing what I write. It is so much of my soul and I am always afraid of what other people will say. So I struggle with my anxiety and I share it when I can. The above list really does not cover all of the social outlets. I have more, and am always finding new ones even still. That is the list of my most visited places.
Which social media outlets are your favorite and why? Is there any you avoid? Why?
[ Smiles ] I use Twitter to promote my blog posts; it is shared with my followers β people with similar interests.
Oh, I hate Reddit, because it has disrespectful people and trolls. I deactivated my Reddit account, because someone disrespected me (And, I hate being disrespected).

I really haven’t tried reddit. I am not so big on trolls myself.

I spend the most time on Word Press, following a lot of blogs. I do spend about an hour a day on Face Book, and haven’t checked in on Google+ or Liknedin for quite a while.

I post my writing on my newest blog, “Sarah’s Corner.” I’ve gotten multiple likes on my fiction but no comments, so I honestly wonder whether people are actually reading my stuff or trying to get me to visit their blogs. Sharing my work is hard for me too, I think it’s hard for any writer. But you kind of need to share anyway and accept criticism in order to get better. π

I know that I should, it is just a honest struggle.

It’s really hard. A few years ago I got ticked off because my grandfather read my first manuscript and told me my main character wasn’t plausible. I lashed out at him a little bit, I still feel kind of bad about it. I think authors have tender egos, and it’s hard to accept criticism in general.
