Passions and realities

My newest digital landscape using my Graphics Tablet

Deep thoughts end me up in a random place. I have always had a passion for poetry…Writing it, reading it, studying it. I just really love poetry. I generally don’t like following the rules of poetry because I feel like that makes it harder to express what I want to say…but I still know many of them. I can tell you the rules off of the top of my head for several differing forms. I think that is why I feel most at home on Tumblr of all of the social media…it feels like poetry.

I found this on tumblr earlier…

It feels like truth…I end up shitposting on Facebook, I don’t really do much with Insta or Deviant…though I wish I could. I just end up feeling awkward. My anxiety eats at my posting on Tiktok. Discord I use for Fae Corps…We try to be open but most don’t even know how to use discord much less see it as a viable social platform.

I find it so hard to share my passions for poetry…because it ends up being such a niche passion. So few actually like it. I feel like it is because it was explained poorly in high school and no one takes the time to learn about it past that.. so many see poetry as only for love…Poetry is pure emotion…it is the heart of the poet spilled onto the page…Many people don’t process emotion well.

I think I want to post a different poem by a different poet everyday in November…as well as trying to post my own PAD challenge Results.(Poem A Day)..However it means that I am likely not going to do my normal posts during November. I decided not to have Serena do NaNoWrimo this year as I am incredibly busy. I am prepping Fae Corps’s Children’s books…and doing the PAD Challenge. I also have day to day life.

The other Poets I can Schedule ahead, and that will help. I really want to have you all see some of the amazing poems I have read.

Thursday Tea Party

Welcome my lovelies! It has been a minute since I have done this. Today is Chai for me, what are you drinking?

I feel ashamed that I have been slow to update the tea party, but I try and save them for times when I have news to pass on to you.

Upcoming in March:
Serena has an anthology she will be in – will post a link as soon as I have it along with a release date.
Bedtime tales : The Princess Lost will be re-releasing March 1st. The images are cleaned up and the layout is so much prettier.
Fae Corps will be releasing Tullawalla by Ivor Steven
My birthday is on the 13th. I usually try to do that week ahead and schedule. I don’t always manage it.

Upcoming in General:
I am working on a pad(Poem a day) challenge for Fae Corps Blog for April. Serena has Decided to do a poetry chapbook. I designed her a cover….

I finished writing a early Chapter book Titled Afraid of Shoe Mountain.
Serena is back to working on Madness and Truth. She tells me it is coming along nicely.
Fae Corps is working on compiling and polishing Faery Playgrounds for a early May release. I have several art pieces in it and Serena has a story.
Lily M. Snow is working on a kid’s book series that will include my art – Lily Doodles and the Ethereal Sparkles. I have been drawing the bad guys(the Blahs, The Closet monsters, the monsters under the bed, and the other things that frighten Children) (I am having so much fun!)
Cyndi and I have been discussing doing an online store for our crafts and art. More information as I have it.

Well, I think that is everything. Tell me, What do you have coming in the next couple of months?

Book covers and ambitious ideas

Ok. April is likely to be a very busy time. National poetry month usually sees me posting poetry posts on here daily as I do the P. A. D. Challenge. I also plan on doing a daily prompt for the Fae corps Blog. It is also going to be when we are starting a call for submissions on two different anthologies. Fae Dreams… Poetry, art, and short stories with a theme of goals, plans, and dreams. (We recieved one too many submissions for Through the Sunshine and offered a guaranteed spot in this to the author). And Nightmare Whispers, a group of horror stories. This one is a tribute to where we started.

I am working on editing the stories submitted for Through the Sunshine, and compilation of Birchwood Grove Gazette. We are doing the basic edits… Then we give the author time to do their own edits. After we recieve the polished story we finalize the formatting of the final anthology. We have to get it all ready by the middle of May for release in June.

My partner and I discussed delaying Fae Dreams. We may still. I have to see how things go. I don’t know yet how ambitious we are going to be. We have ideas for a thriller themed anthology as well, though the title and cover have not been forthcoming from our muses so far.

I am proud to claim that the above covers are my creations. I think that I am really getting better at this. Keep an eye on the Fae Corps Blog, as that is where any official announcement will be. This is mostly me doing mental meandering.
