2026 PAD Challenge Day 15
my response is:
our forefathers set up hope
in a nation so young...
it was supposed to be freedom
for all and welcoming arms
for those who need sanctuary.
the new government are pirates
stealing the dream.
piracy of hope seems to be
unbelievable and profane...
for the reality of this country
is nowhere near what everyone
believed it would be.
2026 PAD Challenge Day 14
my response is :
you were always there
when I awoke after
dreaming violence.
A soft safe space
to wrap around me
when I shake from
remembered violence.
I wrap myself in your love
knowing that I am done
with violence and am safe.
2026 PAD Challenge Day 13
my response is:
her movements were
hypnotic
using only her hips she
spoke volumes.
they call it belly dancing
but she made it hypnosis,
calling me to her,
creating a desire,
that felt so forbidden.
I wanted to watch her move
until the whole world ended.
2026 PAD Challenge Day 12
my response is :
the treasure I buried,
in the time capsule
wasn't something anyone
else wanted to add.
others added pictures
and bits of themselves,
I added words bound bright.
For when the capsule is dug up
and all of the treasure is found,
I want to speak to the future of
knowledge forgotten and thoughts
profound.
2026 PAD Challenge Day 11
my response is:
perhaps it is the universe's joke
played on my life that I keep ending up
walking down the roads to nowhere.
I end up finding a way to somewhere
but not in the normal ways.
I have no tether to the right road
and truthfully I don't know if I want one,
for I have learned more from being lost
than I ever could if I followed some plan.
I will gladly walk those roads to nowhere
and find myself lost and learning
than to follow the plan and be
miserable.
BTW I posted a poem a couple of days ago and I said I was not sure if it belonged in kissed by Verse. I think it does not. I am going to open a new volume for it and this one…
This is my work in progress list… and how I keep track of my word count.
I feel like though I am exhausted and still fighting with bronchitis (Joe’s been giving me nyquil so I can sleep) I have done fairly well with my poetry this week. I got a little bit of words to the current works in progress.
I have been able to keep up with the Fae Corps Publishing PAD Challenge so far. I have looked daily at the writer’s digest prompts and found that none of them work for me this time. I usually do their pad. as long as I am writing I don’t care where the prompt is coming from.
Tuesday Tunes will be up this week, I know that I have been hit or miss where that is concerned.

and when we live in a world without water

The art and words you seek
can easily be gained from
