our forefathers set up hope in a nation so young... it was supposed to be freedom for all and welcoming arms for those who need sanctuary.
the new government are pirates stealing the dream. piracy of hope seems to be unbelievable and profane... for the reality of this country is nowhere near what everyone believed it would be.
We don’t need no education We don’t need no thought control No dark sarcasm in the classroom Teacher, leave them kids alone Hey, teacher, leave them kids alone All in all, it’s just another brick in the wall All in all, you’re just another brick in the wall We don’t need no education We don’t need no thought control No dark sarcasm in the classroom Teachers, leave them kids alone Hey, teacher, leave us kids alone All in all, you’re just another brick in the wall All in all, you’re just another brick in the wall If you don’t eat yer meat, you can’t have any pudding How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat yer meat? You! (if you don’t eat yer meat) Yes, you behind the bike stands (you can’t have any pudding) (How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat yer meat?) Stand still, laddy! You! Yes, you behind the bike stands…
My 2 cents –
okay this song has a story. I started 9th grade 6 weeks late due to childbirth. my best friend at the time (who was dating ny step brother) decided that my first day of school hadd to be special. She brought a big boombox to school and as I got off the bus blasted this song so loud the cafeteria windows shook. it was incredible and memorable.
her movements were hypnotic using only her hips she spoke volumes.
they call it belly dancing but she made it hypnosis, calling me to her, creating a desire, that felt so forbidden. I wanted to watch her move until the whole world ended.
Everyone’s got issues, even demons. When Ren, a Synergy demon, begins showing favor towards his human assignments, it raises alarm among his superiors. His punishment is one he never anticipated: Weekly sessions with famed demon therapist Dr. Lilith Madson.
A moral debacle ensues when an intriguing human recognizing his invisible presence on the streets and forces him to realize Lilith may have a wicked agenda of her own. Whose side will he take? The human with the all-consuming need for revenge or the delusional therapist determined to wreak havoc?
My Thoughts
Okay I shared the announcement of the sequel last week. so I thought it was a good time to review it on my own personal page. This book is a well written roller-coaster. the characters are strong and the plot is sound. by the end you are simply wishing for more – and more os about to be released.
perhaps it is the universe's joke played on my life that I keep ending up walking down the roads to nowhere.
I end up finding a way to somewhere but not in the normal ways. I have no tether to the right road and truthfully I don't know if I want one, for I have learned more from being lost than I ever could if I followed some plan.
I will gladly walk those roads to nowhere and find myself lost and learning than to follow the plan and be miserable.
BTW I posted a poem a couple of days ago and I said I was not sure if it belonged in kissed by Verse. I think it does not. I am going to open a new volume for it and this one…
