Saturday Thoughts

This is my work in progress list… and how I keep track of my word count.

I actually got more than I was expecting this week. then again due to the weather I had to reschedule my appointments.

my sleep patterns were so bad I ended up being able to get back to normal with my poetry writing goals. I did some in the stories but of course I would always want to do more.

Or maybe you just published one?

Did you find a new webcomic that you like?

Or a song you think everyone should hear?

No need for explanation…Just Share it.

You find a good deal that you think we should all see? Just share!

Or hey even a joke you think too fun not to share, Just share it.

Post links in the comments.

Occasionally I will too.

This one was pencil and ink with oil pastels for the color.

I enjoy playing with mixed mediums as it gives my imagination more to work with. I had to use something to make the initial circle as my hand is not so steady to be able to make the circle freehand. I found that some of the mediums are more difficult to work with.

My self reflections and Rants

Okay, I am going to preface this with I Swear I am a writer.

I end up on weird rabbit hole Google searches. I feel sorry for whoever ends up having to sort out my search history. I search for things like who voiced certain characters in various anime or cartoons… like most people do. Then there’s the random fact search for stories I am currently working on…or the strange things that spark my imagination.

The last one was how to turn humans into soap. The worst part is that I already knew how… because I learned years ago how ashes, fat, and water in the right ratio created soap. I never thought about humans being a good source of fat before though.

I did not manage to go to college but I have taken so many free community courses or the occasional weird class offered by places that would be considered anything but educational. I have also taught myself things via the Internet and sheer determination to know it.

So my thoughts? Unless you are literally looking up illegal activity… do not be ashamed of research searches. You might be surprised by what you find.

(In 1780, the former Holy Innocents’ Cemetery in Paris was closed because of overuse. In 1786, the bodies were exhumed and the bones were moved to the Catacombs.[6] Many bodies had incompletely decomposed and had reduced into deposits of fat. During the exhumation, this fat was collected and subsequently turned into candles and soap.

In 1787, the French inspector of manufactures Jean-Marie Roland de la Platière reportedly proposed a scheme to the Academy of Lyons for utilizing the bodies of the dead by converting the fat into lamp-oil and the bones into phosphoric acid. <according to Wikipedia>)

Guess Serena has a new story idea. 😹

well you now know what rabbit hole I have been crawling in this week….

Saturday Thoughts

This is my work in progress list… and how I keep track of my word count.

I didn’t get as much as I wanted written. Again I feel like I will end up saying that every time… because unless I exceed my daily goals every day in the week…

This week I ended up dealing with at least one day of migraine and a couple of high pain days where the brain fog was so bad I couldn’t think.

My weekend has a lot of publishing work on my desk. 3 separate manuscripts to get set up. so I am not expecting to get my writing goals for the weekend. I also have a Kickstarter for an author to figure out. (that was supposed to be done last week.)

As I have 3 separate appointments next week I will be squeezing the writing goals to fit my already tight schedule. that means I am not expecting myself to meet the goals this week. so any writing will exceed my plans. I am not wanting to do a review this week so I think I will do something else for tomorrow.  A one off thing… maybe.
