Today both Serena and I had a take on the prompt for the #MonsterSheWroteChallenge2021 over on https://braveandrecklessblog.com I just saw the challenge last night so I got a late start on it, but I look forward to doing the challenge. I will likely post a few more here as the month goes on.
A knock upon the door reveals a familiar, elderly man, dressed in his finest. His facial expression is one of uncertainty. What does the face of, “I don’t know how you’re still standing” look like anyway? It looks like me… haggard, unwashed, skeletal. “One foot in the grave,” I tell myself, laughter pressing psychotically upon my parched lips.
He’s been on my front step too many times to know what to do or say. That’s a job for the professionals. Nonetheless, his instinct kicks in, avoiding having to look at me for too long, he hands me a meager, lonely rose, wrapped in plastic and tissue and utters his deepest condolences. Words I’ve heard so much they’ve lost any meaning.
I hang it upside down, along with the other two, still not fully dried. I wonder if hospice knew that each one was a different color than its predecessor? Yellow…

Hello, My lovelies! I have some major announcements and I am unsure where to begin.
First the Blog for Fae Corps is busy Lately. Have you seen? I have been leaving it in the Capable hands of our lovely Intern Azlyn Fae. She has been doing a wonderful job. I am going to be posting our Daily prompt for the PAD challenge in November. Other than that she handles the blog better than I did.
My poetry volume The Voices Within just released the 18th. I did not get to do a book birthday post as I was down with a terrible migraine that whole week.
We at Fae Corps are going to do a special the first week of December. I am releasing two new Kid’s books – A Pup is Brave which is a continuation of my Pip the Pup story
– The Littlest Faery which talks about a special little faery and the start of her adventures.
So we are going to put my other Kid’s books on sale. and Redbird is rereleasing her kid’s books.
Nita and the Honeybees Keko and the Lost Bananas
We are going to do kid’s games in the Party room on Facebook that whole week. at the end of the week those kid’s who have participated and or won will receive a printed activity book from Fae Corps. There will be other Prizes to win. (A bookmark made of resin, a $5 amazon card, Etc.)
We are going on Vacation technically from the 15th of November until the first of the year, but this is fun for us too.
There is a lot going one between now and then.
Super CJ, a children’s book by Denise Tyree Lucas, releases September 30th. It is a super cute story.
Silence is Crimson. A horror novel By Raz T. Slasher, releases October 31st. Reminds me of slasher fics crossed with a good HPLovecraft story.

Also…Serena has decided to not attempt the Nano Challenge this year because for a Change I want to. On my own terms. I do the PAD Challenge every year. I will again this year. I think instead of word counts – as I do children’s books it requires far less words. I am going to try to do one book a week. From the writing and Illustrations to layout. everything. Four books in November. For publication next year.
Speaking of Publishing Next Year…Fae Corps Is already booked up for authors next year and nearly booked for 2023. Next year we are pleased to be doing books for Ashira Dayta, Keely Messino, and Raz T, Slasher. For 2023 We so far have – SB Steele, and Ashira Dayta, and Ruan Bradford Wright. We will be busy.

My Two cents –
I am behind on my posts this week. It has been a really busy week for me – We had to get our lawn mower fixed and gather trash from the yard. Summer is ending but there are still summer chores to be done. So I spent Yesterday dealing with all of that. I spent Saturday dealing with a game and Sunday playing in a different one. So my normal work day – Sunday…well it got stolen. I will not post tomorrow but I have some upcoming announcements so I will be posting Thursday to tell yall all of what is coming soon. Man, Adulting is exhausting.
