Splitting hairs

Ok. So I think that I have separated pattimouse from my other stuff . I will continue to discuss my poetry and kid’s stuff here.  I will continue with the posts about life and spiritual things (including tarot readings)  here . However anything related to Serena or the publishing I have been setting up to do,  or the crafting I do,  will be oon my other blog. Serenitystudioscraftingandpublishinggroup.wordpress.com

Please don’t hesitate to follow,  as I will be updating both frequently . I think that this will result in better posts .

Utility App review

So I have been asked for reviews on the apps I use in both my writing and in my art….I figure that it will help me with content for this blog, so here goes. I do much of my writing on Android devices. If I use either laptop or computer it would be a version of office. However, on android I often need access to notes or easier methods for organization of what I write. I have found a couple of apps that are wonderful for this. Today I am going to give a review on my favorite of them.

notebooks pro is a premium app. It’s not real expensive and there is a free version. I found it so useful that I wanted the full version.

It is extremely flexible and allows for you to create books for writing in.

You can add attachments (pictures) and each page is unlimited. I set up my poetry volume with a number of pages equal to the poems that I want in the finished volume.

You can back it up in dropbox, Google drive or locally… And restore it from any of the three.

Honestly, this is one of my better writing apps. It allows you to export as a pdf or you can copy and paste the text.

I highly recommend it for any one who writes on the go.

P.a.d. Me…

Poetic rambling

It’s national poetry month… Which means that there is several places doing prompts and a great many poets are doing P. A. D. Challenges. Now, for my non poet readers, that stands for Poem A Day. I am however a bit of an overachiever. I am striving for three poems a day in April. So far I am ahead of the curve. Three yesterday and four today… But it is exhausting, so I may not be able to keep it up through the month. We will see. I will be posting at least one poem per week – some new, some already published. So keep an eye here for that.

Serena’s Rust, gore, and the junkyard zombie is already back in my editor’s hands. Pre-order is still available on Amazon. It’s going to be releasing May first.

April is going to be an exciting month… Keep watching to see.

Growth monsters

I think that I have been improving over the last few years. The first picture is the cover I did for the poetry volume I published in 2013….

the second is the cover that I did today as I am going through and cleaning up the layouts on my poetry volumes. I see a huge difference. Time and learning helps make a better and more professional image… But it is also that I am not the same person I was then. I have been reading the poems that I wrote for those original volumes…. My words then are not who I am now.
So I look forward to seeing who I become as the years ahead approach. And may it mean that I continue with verse and words to share with the world at large.

Re-release Excitement

So I got the first one done yesterday.

It is on Amazon! Kindle version & Paperback….

Please do go take a look and let me know what you think.

Learning more, growing some

Writing of any kind is often a growth thing. A ever expanding learning experience. With soul’s door I had better equipment and access to better ability for layout than I ever have.

So thusly, it is the poetry volume that is the best looking. I am now going back and redoing the layout for the previous volumes. Not that they looked bad… Just on the kindle the poetry tended to run together. I can fix that easily now. So for the next few days I will be releasing releasing as I finish them updates to the poetry volumes I have out.
