Artsy Fartsy Thursday

not sure why landscapes are my fave to draw…but I love doing them.

Wild Wednesday

This has been a busy year for me writing wise.

I looked at the publication list and I realized that as of August I have 9 separate books personally (with One of them being Serena’s) published this year. And I know that I will be doing at least one children’s book in December.

Some years I barely manage to get 3 books ready for publishing.

I am not sure what the productivity streak has been caused by, but I am so very happy about it.

Lyrics

him

Love thy neighbor, right?
Or is it only if they’re
Rich, able-bodied, cis, hetero and white?
I’m starting to think this lord of yours is overrated
If he made you in his image
Must’ve been real inebriated

Preacher preaching rubbish
Rambling, condemning sodomy
Vocal variation of an awfully botched lobotomy
Scream about the gays
And how you wish you could exterminate ’em
Jesus would’ve hated the way you’ve portrayed him

Love thy neighbor, right?
Or is it only if they’re
Rich, able-bodied, cis, hetero and white?
I’m starting to think this lord of yours is overrated
If he made you in his image
Must’ve been real inebriated

My 2 Cents –

I found this when I was driving. It definitely caught me by surprise. I don’t normally push any idea that has a hate filled message and this one has some…but it also has a lot of truth to it too. Hate seems to flow through everything anymore and I am so very tired of it. Jesus is portrayed as someone by the bible who would have been happy to sit with the gays, and the theys. But the modern media portrayal is one that has him hating everything not christian. It hurts my heart. We are all human. So kindness should be the thing that we default to.

Monday Poetry

New titles and Links

So between the blog and Facebook, the most popular choice was Muse’s Masterpiece for the next volume. I am already started in on it.

Release Dates for Upcoming books:

Tomorrow July 7 Quiet Screams
July 14 Anthology Alumni
August 4 The Lunatic Asylum Screams
August 18 On My Way Home
August 25 Blood Red Rain By Serena Mossgraves

I do not know if I will have Serena Doing anymore Poetry. I enjoy exploring the Darker poetry with her, but at the same time it is exhausting to have so many projects open at once. I am hoping to still have Xactly Poetic releasing in September. I have it over half way written. This year has been a busy writing year for me. I have released more volumes this year than I often do. I have a kid’s book I have been trying to get illustrated for Kid’s week in December.

Artsy Fartsy Thursday

I like drawing owls. And this is a good time to mention that I was on a couple of episodes on The Owl Light Network

Wild Wednesday

I believe it is time to order a new keyboard. I am hard on mine. Mostly due to gaming, but I do a lot of typing as well.
The only requirement I have for my keyboard is it has to be backlit…and it has to have the number pad.

This is the one I settled on. I hope it is more sturdy.

The Lunatic asylum screams

Release date is August 4th.

Find it at https://books2read.com/Thelunaticasylumscreams with more places adding as they are available.

Lyrics

I knew a man, called him Sandy Cane
Few folks even knew his name
But a hero, yes was he
Left a boy, came back a man
Still many just don’t understand
About the reasons we are free
I can’t forget the look in his eyes
Or the tears he cried
As he said these words to me

All Gave Some, Some Gave All
Some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some Gave All

Now Sandy Cane is no longer here
But his words are oh so clear
As they echo throughout our land
For all his friends who gave us all
Who stood their ground and took the fall
To help their fellow man
Love your country and live with pride
And don’t forget those who died
America can’t you see?

All Gave Some, Some Gave All
Some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Some Gave All

And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
Yes recall
Some Gave All
Some Gave All

There are not too many “Patriotic” songs that I really like. I find that there are too many problems to feel truly proud of this country…but I was born in the USA…and This is our Independence day. So… This is a nod to that.

Podcasts and the thoughts they provoke

So, I was on Owl Light’s Unprinted Pages…They will be uploading the video to the channel soon…We did it live and then the replay gets uploaded…that is the way this works. It got my brain jumping. I have been writing since. I will be posting links when the review period is done…Lunatic Asylum Screams – my second memoir is now due out Aug 4. (I still need to get that up on paperback and other various sites….just started that process.) and Serena’s Blood Red Rain is now less than 15 poems away from being done writing…and I don’t think I am done writing tonight. So…Check out Owl Light’s channel…seriously they are inspiring…

oh also…I will be posting a link later when it’s live…I did a nifty little journal with my art on the cover. maybe I might do more…
