Wild Wednesday

Wild Wednesday!

So many topics…. what should I talk about?

So I wanna talk about my favorite Poets…since it is National Poetry Month.

I have always been fond of Edgar Allan Poe. His work speaks to the Goth heart in me. His story 0f not making it during his lifetime also hits notes of poetic tragedy and genuine goth nature…(I know I am weird.)

Another I have always loved was Emily Dickenson. Her work is almost opposite in a lot of ways to Poe. Flowery and light. Almost as though she were making the words themselves her lover.

In my teen years I discovered Irene Hunt’s Up a Road Slowly. It introduced me to two new poets. Sara Teasdale and Edna St. Vincent Millay. I was enamored by the idea that poetry could be just randomly inserted into books. I did not realize that would not generally happen anyway.

In more recent years thanks to YouTube, I have discovered Blythe Baird and Rachel Wiley. I adore their poems.

National Poetry Month and Other Shenanigans

Okay, April is a crazy month for me. Oh boy I am a busy bee….I have a full publishing slate.

(Mar 31 The key of the Storm , Apr 7 Internal Battlefields, Apr 14 Valley of Thoughts, Apr 21 State of Mind )

I always do the PAD Challenge myself. Plus I host a PAD challenge on the Fae Corps Blog

So I have scheduled a Poem A Day on here just in case I don’t get to do any other blogging. No commentary…just poetry by wonderful poets whom I enjoy. I hope to be able to post my own poetry throughout the month and maybe do some of my regular posts as well. I do not know.

I will be trying to be popping in and trying to discuss things as I can, but I at least wanted to keep my blog active while I am so busy.

Organizing…

Decided, after getting irritated at a friend…to organize my files a bit. and I realized. some of my volumes have more shared than others…some have none shared. so I think I will in April do alternating posts. One of other poets poetry. and one of mine. There will be daily posts in April. There will not be my usual posts in April. That is all.

This week is an odd one

It’s Sunday. I usually do my publishing/blog/writing based responsibilities on Sunday… but it is also Joe’s birthday. So, I am squeezing in what I can before I go to bed. Then I will be spending the day with him and trying to get the rest of the week playing catch up. Next week I will be AWOL as the 13th is my day.

I actually have ideas for this week, mostly. Wednesday is the iffy…but I may come up with something by the time I get there.

If I find that I am feeling froggy I might try to do something after the 13th as far as posts but regardless I will return to work on the following week.

Also…in addition to my own release of Internal Battlefields, my middle child, NK Xero, is looking at releasing a poetry book in April. (With Fae Corps Publishing of course). Also I am hoping to do the same thing I usually do and post a daily poem. I’m hoping to try to do some new ones ☺️
