Finding Ideas
So in today’s society it seems like there’s more than we can handle in ideas out there. If you are like me, sometimes you have too many ideas. You just need to have an outside push to get the writing going.
Stories seem to be easier as far as ideas for me, but not everyone is the same. I struggle with topics for my poetry sometimes. So that is when I crawl the net looking for prompts to spark my muse.
Where do I look? Well, I personally like tumblr for prompts. The search feature helps. Look for #poetryprompts.
I also have a Pinterest board. WordPress can be a good source and there is a few who post to Instagram.
Seems like there is a few options. Sometimes you can even just put a call out on social media for ideas.
Note that many prompts can be used for writing, for art, and are interchangeable.

Thursday Tea Party
Morning my lovely friends! What is that? It’s not morning for you? Hmmm well it is morning somewhere… I hesitate to wish you good day, as that seems more like a farewell than a hello.
Either way, welcome to my tea party! Today, I have been having belly issues so I am going with my favourite lemon and ginger tea.

Whew, that is a lot of announcements. I am working on doing the abuse playlist on YouTube. I would be glad to provide a link for those who want it, but it is not something that I just want to random post.

Orange filled cookies
This looks yummy
Orange Filled Cookies
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon grated orange peel
1/4 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon vanilla
Orange Filling (see below)
Cream together butter, sugar, brown sugar and egg until fluffy. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, orange peel, orange juice and vanilla. Shape into 2 (6 1/2 inch) rolls; Chill. Cut into 1/8 inch slices. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool; Spoon 1 teaspoon of Orange Filling on a cookie and top with another cookie.
Orange Filling
2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 stick butter, softened
2 to 3 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
Mix together all ingredients; beat until smooth.
