Something takes a part of me Something lost and never seen Every time I start to believe Something’s raped and taken from me, from me Life’s gotta always be messing with me (you wanna see the light) Can’t they chill and let me be free? My 2 cents –
my pain is on display at times because I don’t hide my past or my life. I will stumble on occasion but I will not fall.
It begins as a lark — a harmless diversion initiated by Washington, D.C., hostess Ruth Bennett as a means of entertaining her visiting niece, Sara. But the seance conducted in Ruth’s elegant Georgetown home calls something back; something unwelcome … and palpably evil. Suddenly Sara is speaking in a voice not her own, transformed into a miserable, whimpering creature so unlike her normal, sensible self. No tricks or talismans will dispel the malevolence that now plagues the inhabitants of this haunted place — until a dark history of treachery, lust, and violence is exposed. But the cost might well be the sanity and the lives of the living.
Barbara Michaels is an excellent writer but this is the first one I read by her. My grandma recommended it to me and I have read it several times since. it is an amazing ghost story.
I will probably go back to Steven King next week but I had this planned a few weeks ago.
So The next topic in the group is Paperback/Hardback needs.
This one is simple. For both you need the Pdf of the Manuscript. The Difference is the cover size. You will need a larger cover for Hardback. This seems like a small post, but this week I am still fighting the exhaustion and felt like a simple post might be best.
There are places…Like Bookvault and a few others that offer things like sprayed edges and foiled pages and such if you want to do something really fancy. Those places do cost more for publishing.
I will be discussing the different places to find useful services for publication Next Week. It should be a much longer post. Soon, the Topic of Basic Marketing will be discussed.
