Wild Wednesday

Games.

Video games to be specific.

I have several that I am rather fond of.

Back in the early oughts I was so into Ultima Online that I learned how to code in C# just to be able to make a server to play with.

My friend group, though small, have a small selection of games that we cycle through that are multi player. This includes Conan Exiles, 7 days to die, Green Hell, project Zomboid, palworld, valheim, raft, subsistence, Stardew valley, and red dead redemption 2 online.

Of the ones that I listed… Palworld is the newest one and the one that I am most likely to be on a solo run with.

I used to love 7 days… the developers really ruined it. It looks great but they keep taking the game and wiping their backsides with it then when the fans try to make suggestions they are asinine to them. It makes it less fun.

Project Zomboid is complicated. 3rd person view and I keep dying.

Raft is fun. but I don’t like having the shark attacks on.

Conan Exiles rocks. Over all good multi player game.

Valheim… I don’t like the building mechanics in this game.

Green Hell is better now. The first time we tried to do multi player there was invisible natives and I kept dying.

Stardew valley is Farmville on crack. Lol

Rdr 2 I am struggling with this one. Not good at stealth. Not good at shooting.

Palworld is basically a pokemon clone with a better story.

Tuesday Tunes

A day for me to discuss music

Lyrics-

She never mentions the word “addiction”
In certain company
Yes, she’ll tell you she’s an orphan
After you meet her family
She paints her eyes as black as night now
Pulls those shades down tight
Yeah, she gives a smile when the pain come
The pain gonna make everything alright
Says she talks to angels
They call her out by her name
Oh yeah, she talks to angels
Says they call her out by her name
She keeps a lock of hair in her pocket
She wears a cross around her neck
Yes, the hair is from a little boy
And the cross is someone she has not met, not yet
Says she talks to angels
Says they all know her name
Oh yeah, she talks to angels
Says they call her out by her name
She don’t know no lover
None that I ever seen
Yeah, to her that ain’t nothin’
But to me, it means
Means everything
She paints her eyes as black as night now
She pulls those shades down tight
Oh yeah, there’s a smile when the pain comes
The pain gonna make everything alright, alright
She talks to angels
Says they call her out by her name
Oh, yeah, angels
Call her out by her name
Oh, angels
They call her out by her name
Oh, she talks to angels
They call her out, yeah, yeah
Call her out
Don’t you know that they
Call her out by her name?

My 2 Cents –

There is something I can’t help but find poetic about this song. It has been something that I have been unable to explain why I like it…but it also has been one that sings my own name.

Reformatting Patreon

I finally have a rhythm on here. I am hoping if I add slowly I can get patreon on the regular posting thing. I cut it back to a single tier…Just $1 a month. For that You would have access to stories by Serena, occasional poetry and art by me. But I am planning only one post there a week for now. if I see myself capable that may change.

Next will be me adding Ko-fi….

Cyberspace Introspection

So, in today’s society the idea of being “live” carries a new meaning. I came here to tell y’all that I am posting myself reading my poems on my TikTok again and then I wanted to try to make it sound good… so I was thinking about the buzz words… and live poetry reading came up… but it is not live. It’s recorded. I guess I just don’t know what the words to use here are.

I always do subtitles on my readings to be sure my own accent doesn’t make me hard to understand. So I am Pattimouse on TikTok if you want to hear me read my own poetry. I occasionally post other things – mostly the fun little memes that TikTok engenders but not very often. I’m not fond of recording videos. So I try to make sure that when I do record it is for a good reason.

Artsy Fartsy Thursday

I was in a pencil and paper mood.

The first one is something that I did not want to share… I was trying for cute and came out with a borderline Leatherface… that one can hide in my sketchbook till the end of time….lol.
