What was decided

Though a couple of the volumes had a vote each this one received the most over all of the platforms. So I am as of Tuesday afternoon at 430pm only five poems away from finishing Human Shaped Verse. I have no doubt that I will have it done within the next few days and starting on Lost Notes. The others will get written eventually. They will go back into the rotation for the next volume as I get finished. I usually pick five that feel right and present them to everyone as choices when I get within ten poems of completion of a volume. It is slightly random in that respect.

Time to ask

So I am nearly done with Human Shaped Verse. It’s Time to ask again. What do you think should be my next volume?

Choices

So it’s time to ask for the next volume for both Serena  and myself. Since I do it on Facebook publicly and I don’t want to blow up my media here… I am putting it in as links.

Ideas for future projects

Okay I have been trying to figure out what to do with my stuff that gets accepted to anthologies and the like. Serena has a volume she was putting things in… but I was not sure if it was even a thing I needed.

You see I rarely send my stuff out. If I do submit, it is usually to my own publishing company. Not as a guarantee of publishing but instead as a decorative element for the Anthologies I am putting together. I don’t think that I have the energy to send my work to be judged.

I may feel inclined to send in to one or two projects… but I don’t see it being a big deal. So I think that I want to keep a open volume… much like Anthology Alumni and then release it when I feel like it is ready.

The next volume like that is going to be Jotted Memories.

Goal Achieved!

Tears of the Broken is Written. Now I start working on Hope Splashes.

Setting A Goal

So, I have set up a goal of publishing Tears of the Broken in March. That means I have to get it written by no later than the middle of February. It’s about half done. So I might be able to get it done. I already have the next volume chosen – I know I usually ask for your opinion…but I have it calling to me. I will celebrate getting this one done by announcing that one.

Announcing the Next Volume

So I just got the last one written in Uncanny Valley – release date tbd 2024.

And as usual I had asked here and on Facebook for help with the new volume. Out of the 7 options… each but two got a single vote.

Burning the Candles at both ends got zero votes. Apparently that was not the one this time.

Everything else got a single vote except for Tears of the Broken which got 2. So I am going with this.

My daughter suggested that I may have given too many choices this time. So I will try to limit it the next time.

Time to pick.

So I am at the 10 poems away mark on Uncanny Valley.

I usually wait until I am closer… but I am doing 2 separate pad challenges… so I think that I should have the next one ready.

My next volume

It was a tie in the votes… this one and Burning the Candles at both ends.

I asked my boyfriend to choose… and his response gave me what I needed to choose.

He said that Burning is a darker one and this one was lighter. So I should choose based on the poems that I was planning on putting in it.

That is not how I write…

But it got me thinking about my own writing and the upcoming volume. Ok, I have Serena’s Gathered Bones that I can put the dark stuff in. And I am planning on using this one for the November Pad challenge as well as the stuff I write until then…. I am likely to be looking for a new one at the end of November….

So I chose the one that I liked better (and the one that my daughter had voted for) since the votes were equal for the two.

Today I wrote the last poem for Echoes…

So I will be starting Uncanny Valley soon…

Wild Wednesday

Well it’s time for this again…

Help me choose what my new volume will be? I have less than 10 poems in Echoes left to write. Each of these are supposed to be Free Verse with no theme….

The writing on this new one will probably be done in November but the volume itself will not be ready for release until next year.
