So I have received a few comments that my book catalog is daunting…my friend Jenny asked me to do omnibus editions for my poetry volumes and it seemed like a good idea. So in April – for National Poetry Month I will be releasing omnibus editions of my poetry volumes.
Normally, if I set up the link for a book…It is at least completely written. This time I am starting that process early. Queer Verbage, at the time of this post is 10 poems away from being done…But I wanted to secure the April release date. The publishing schedule fills up so fast…I wanted to be sure when this would release. And considering I have been fixated on this volume…I do not see myself having issues writing 10 poems in nearly four months.
If you have been reading my blog for any amount of time, you know I love doing cover art.
Canva is a tool. Not my only tool. But one that I use often.
I usually don’t use the template option. I feel like I’m more creative and can come up with something else.
That being said… the above cover was only slightly modified from the template option.
That template inspired me.
Then I wrote the volume, published it, and found out that the image has inspired many people. It has been used for several books.
Sigh.
So I revamped the cover. I gave it my own flair. And I feel like it fits better. I have already updated most of the ebook locations. And I will be doing the same thing for the print and remaining ebook sellers later today. It should have been more like this to start with.
I have really no excuses. Inspiration does not always equate to me thinking things through.
So I am done with the writing on Muse’s Masterpiece.
I will start Echoes tomorrow.
That being said… when I asked for a help to pick the next volume, I think that I miss-spoke. I always start with the idea that the volume is unthemed. (Unless I have a theme in mind) it evolves every time to bear a little bit of a theme.
I don’t do it on purpose.
I really don’t.
There is always some that don’t fit in the end exactly, but I don’t feel bad about it as it was not supposed to be a themed book to start with.
All of that being said… Muse’s Masterpiece seems to be mostly about answering the call of the creative muse.
Muse’s Masterpiece is scheduled for publishing in November (Link when I get it). And I will be writing on Echoes into the Void starting tomorrow. Maybe this one will not gather a theme on me.
Fae Corps Publishing is releasing two new anthologies. My poetry will be in Dark Dreams: Ready for the Day along with a new story from Serena.
Serena will have poetry in Dark Dreams: Letting in the Night. I don’t have links for both yet…but I will get them posted here as soon as I do. (The link for Day is giving me trouble. I have the one for Night…) Come back in a week to see the pretty covers I designed for these two anthologies.
All of these were made for Serena Mossgraves. I joked that she is too slow at the writing and I needed to stop making her covers. Each of them have been started… some are farther along than others.
I am hoping that she can get kingdoms of Sin and midnight Verse written this year.
Heaven’s Forgotten Tales is probably a few years away – it is much like Apocalypse Atheneum. A compilation of stories and poetry from anthologies. She just started it.
I am hoping that she can be productive with the writing for the next few years. It might be a fruitless hope… but positive thoughts and all that rot…
Also, some of the titles have been updated. I will be adjusting the categories as I have the ability.
