So, Jenny Elliott and I were talking about marketing stuff and she said that another author had complimented our tactics. Said the only thing that could be made better was the price. I love even numbers and have been doing everything at an even price. Apparently that is a bit of a bad thing.
So I went back and fixed the ebook price by a penny… for everything. And in doing it…Word Play got “republished” on draft2digital. Which means that they decided to review it. And it was written back in the all Amazon days. So I have to go back and fix it. The manuscript has several mentions in it of Amazon. Which causes d2d fits. It means I have to get it done before I can get that one available for Kobo and Apple books. Grrrr. Yeah I will get it done, but I’m annoyed because I thought I was done with it.
I’m also annoyed because I am fairly certain that I created the problem myself. And adding to my own workload is just assine.
In order to conserve my sketchbooks I often choose to do multiple sketches on a single page. These two ended up being funny. It looks like the elephant is afraid of the ghosty….
I wanted Halloween Music. I came across this List.
I love it. When I had searched for the same sort of thing on Movies…Well I found I was disappointed in the list. Scary movies most of these are not…at least not to me. Boyfriend says I am desensitized.
He might be right. I was reading horror books back in elementary school – like real ones. Steven King and the like. My parents did not limit what I read. (I was reading College level by time I hit 4th grade.)
I remember being scared by some really well written stories.
And My imagination is far richer than most movies.
So, I end up being disappointed by the movies because they can not live up to the full richness of the stories in my head. I get people who get mad at me when I say that I am not a video person…because the shows rarely are worth the time I have to spend away from my books.
And I have no way to explain that without sounding strange. I love music. I love books. Movies and television however often disappoints.
Old radio programs and Theater shows are amazing however…
It’s close to midnight and something evil’s lurkin’ in the dark Under the moonlight you see a sight that almost stops your heart You try to scream but terror takes the sound before you make it You start to freeze as horror looks you right between the eyes, You’re paralyzed

[Vincent Price:] Darkness falls across the land The midnight hour is close at hand Creatures crawl in search of blood To terrorize y’all’s neighborhood (I’m gonna thrill you tonight) And whomsoever shall be found Without the soul for getting down Must stand and face the hounds of hell And rot inside a corpse’s shell
[Vincent Price:] The foulest stench is in the air The funk of forty thousand years (Thriller night, thriller) And grisly ghouls from every tomb Are closing in to seal your doom And though you fight to stay alive Your body starts to shiver (I’m gonna thrill you tonight) For no mere mortal can resist The evil of the thriller
[Into maniacal laugh, in deep echo]
My 2 Cents –
