So you found a new book?

Or maybe you just published one?

Did you find a new webcomic that you like?

Or a song you think everyone should hear?

No need for explanation…Just Share it.

You find a good deal that you think we should all see? Just share!

Or hey even a joke you think too fun not to share, Just share it.

Artsy Fartsy Thursday

Artsy Fartsy Let’s Discuss art

I got a new sketchbook today. I asked my girl what I should draw to break it in. She said to draw shorts. Her reason? Shorts are a type of pants…and pants are the way of the future and that it would be a good start to a sketchbook.,…

Today’s comic is a Kaiju experience: https://www.neomonsterisland.com

This one is a twisted Kaiju theater. It has a really twisted sense of humor. It is funny but it often is not right. I am not sure how often it updates, but I have yet to not enjoy an update.

Tuesday Tunes

A day for me to discuss music

Lyrics

My lover’s got humor
She’s the giggle at a funeral
Knows everybody’s disapproval
I should’ve worshiped her sooner
If the Heavens ever did speak
She’s the last true mouthpiece
Every Sunday’s getting more bleak
A fresh poison each week
“We were born sick”, you heard them say it
My church offers no absolutes
She tells me, “Worship in the bedroom”
The only Heaven I’ll be sent to
Is when I’m alone with you
I was born sick, but I love it
Command me to be well
A-, Amen, Amen, Amen
Take me to church
I’ll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I’ll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
Take me to church
I’ll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I’ll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
If I’m a pagan of the good times
My lover’s the sunlight
To keep the Goddess on my side
She demands a sacrifice
Drain the whole sea
Get something shiny
Something meaty for the main course
That’s a fine-looking high horse
What you got in the stable?
We’ve a lot of starving faithful
That looks tasty
That looks plenty
This is hungry work
Take me to church
I’ll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I’ll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife
Offer me my deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
Take me to church
I’ll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I’ll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife
Offer me my deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
No masters or kings when the ritual begins
There is no sweeter innocence than our gentle sin
In the madness and soil of that sad earthly scene
Only then I am human
Only then I am clean
Oh, oh, Amen, Amen, Amen
Take me to church
I’ll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I’ll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
Take me to church
I’ll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I’ll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life

My 2 Cents-
this song speaks to me on so many levels. Sex can be both shameful and uplifting depending on the situation. It has been both for me on more than one occasion. I feel like that is what this song is talking about…that moment when sex is everything.

Today’s comic is a true Geek playground: https://xkcd.com

It is heavy in math and geekdom. The art Is mostly stick figures…but it is heavy in geek humor and smarts. I am not entirely sure how often it posts (I have never been able to get caught up through the archives on this one.) I think it is about every three days or so?

This one, there are times that it will be over my head…I guess I am just not smart enough for some of the jokes. The ones I do get are hilarious. I feel like it is okay not to get all the jokes on a comic if you enjoy some of them.

A day for me to discuss music

Lyrics
I’m sitting on the floor of my home
Burning everything that I own
Guess I ruined something good again
My life is just a fucked up freak show
It’s the only thing that I know
And I hope it never ever ends
Everybody tells me I need fixing
I think that they don’t know what they’re missing, trust me
That’s just life, kicks you down whenever you try
It laughs when you cry
And keeps on moving ’til you die
It’s okay, it’s alright
It’s just another day in paradise
I spiral in self-deprecation, pity party celebration
Never seeing things for what they are
And sadness tеases my temptation, coming off my medication
Evеrything you need to be a star
Everybody tells me I need fixing
I think that they don’t know what they’re missing, trust me
That’s just life, kicks you down whenever you try
It laughs when you cry
And keeps on moving ’til you die
It’s okay, it’s alright
It’s just another day in paradise
It’s just another day, I know that it won’t change
It’s just another day, it’s just another day
It’s just another day, you’ll find another way
It’s just another day, it’s just another day
That’s just life, kicks you down the harder you fight
It laughs ’til you cry
And keeps on moving ’til you die
It’s okay, it’s alright
It’s just another day in paradise
That’s just life, kicks you down whenever you try
It laughs when you cry
And keeps on moving ’til you die
It’s okay, it’s alright
It’s just another day in paradise

My 2 Cents-
this song is the second song I have heard with the same title. While I enjoy Phil Collins song, this song seems like it fits me better. I have felt like this on more than one occasion.
